Historic Trails and Roads
Our town is steeped in history, and positioned along routes from Hartford to Boston and Providence. We still use some of the roads that were first created in Colonial times.

Hartford-Boston Turnpike
Turnpike Road and Boston Hollow Road once were part of a toll road that connected Boston and Hartford. We are getting more information from the Ashford Historical Society.
